Inspired by the likes of Fugazi, Sonic Youth and Talking Heads, as well as influential Chinese bands P.K.14 and Shuh Tou, Chengdu’s Hiperson are one of the most exciting indie acts to emerge from the Mainland in recent years. Rooted in post-punk, the five-piece also weave in elements of garage rock, jazz, emo and Chinese folk music, all united by frontwoman Chen Sijiang’s remarkable vocals, which range from hardcore punk to spoken word. Drawing on their eclectic back catalogue—including the acclaimed 2020 album ‘Bildungsroman’—Hiperson are sure to win legions of new fans at this year’s festival.

來自成都嘅post-punk樂隊海朋森，名字其實係「Hi person」嘅音譯，與睇落很cool（事實上也很cool）嘅樂隊形象相比，海朋森眾成員對人際關係此一題目表現出相當熱心，不斷用音樂追求現實回應，鼓勵人睇大啲睇遠啲，開放啲去期待未知。

由2015年首張大碟《我不要別的歷史》開始，海朋森穩定出產一系列作品建立出新一代中國樂隊中最鮮明立體嘅形象，包括帶點曳曳戲子演繹嘅代表作〈草莓〉，主唱陳思江富有詩意嘅詞鋒透過口號式吟唱表達，既似英式說唱亦似京劇念白，喺舞台上極具感染力；而樂隊扎實嘅演奏暴烈乾淨得嚟埋藏各種細膩悅耳旋律，現場戲劇效果十足又能捉緊情緒脈搏，拖住你走入一個有許多符號意象嘅空間，令人無法保持麻木。

2020年，海朋森發表於柏林 Hansa Studio 錄製，因受疫情影響而回國後製嘅第三張大碟《成長小說》，進一步深化佢哋怪異荒誕爽朗深邃兼備嘅獨特美學體系，淨係〈春風〉開頭果句「你說我常常變得冷酷，我有時想像死亡」，加上左面再放一枝拆聲結他清唱，已經刻劃出當代年青人嘅迷惘不安。呢支備受海內外樂迷矚目嘅優秀 post-punk 尖子將會喺 Clockenflap 作首度香港公演，我哋誠意大推！
