2016年4月に欅坂46として誕生。2020年10月より櫻坂46として改名し活動をスタート。2023年は変化と挑戦を掲げ、初の海外イベントやグループの展覧会の開催、秋にはZOZOマリンスタジアムの最大動員数を記録、「2023 Asia Artist Awards」では人気賞とベストミュージシャン賞の二部門にて受賞、日本人アーティストとして初の快挙となった。2024年6月、二度目の東京ドーム公演を開催し、11万人を動員。海外でも多くの評価を得ている、日本を代表するガールズグループ。

The group debuted as Keyakizaka46 in April 2016 and renamed themselves to Sakurazaka46 in October 2020. The year 2023 was marked by change and challenge, with their first overseas event and group exhibition, a record attendance at ZOZO Marine Stadium in autumn, and a win in two categories at the "2023 Asia Artist Awards" for Popularity and Best Musician. In June 2024, they held their second Tokyo Dome concert, attracting 110,000 fans. They are one of the most popular girl groups in Japan, and have received much acclaim overseas as well.
