Yoasobi, IDLES, Wang Wen and BBNO$ Among the Day One Highlights as Clockenflap Kicks Off Three Days of World-class Music, Arts and Family Fun at Central Harbourfront
[Hong Kong, December 1, 2023] Clockenflap, Hong Kong’s biggest international outdoor music and arts festival, kicked off three days of world-class live music, arts and family fun at Central Harbourfront with a sold-out Day One on Friday.
J-pop superduo Yoasobi were the Friday night headliners on the Harbourflap Stage, delighting their legions of fans with a spectacular performance in front of the Hong Kong skyline. The festival’s main stage also saw blistering sets from U.K. post-punk heroes IDLES and China’s post-rock masters Wang Wen.
Elsewhere at the festival, the Orbit Stage hosted a sensational headline set by Canadian rapper BBNO$, as well as memorable performances by American singer-songwriter Alex G and Chinese singer/rapper Lexie Liu. Highlights on the Tommy Stage included Japanese post-hardcore legends envy and South Korean electronic rock trio Idiotape, while Australian electro-house hellraisers Peking Duk delivered a thrilling headline set at the Electriq Stage.
Big-name artists performing over the rest of the weekend include Britpop icons PULP, hip-hop legends De La Soul, acclaimed U.S. singer-songwriter Caroline Polachek and seminal Chinese alternative rockers Omnipotent Youth Society (all Saturday), plus American rapper Swae Lee, generation-defining Taiwanese indie rockers No Party For Cao Dong, Chinese singer-songwriter Leah Dou and innovative British post-punks Yard Act (all Sunday).
