Name: The Black Skirts (KR)

Date Performing: Friday, 29 November 2024

Profile:

The indie-rock project led by singer-songwriter Bryan Cho (Jo Hyu-il), The Black Skirts are one of the most enduring acts to have emerged from South Korea’s indie music scene. Since debuting in 2010 with the album ‘201’, the band have developed a loyal following for their emotionally resonant sound, which manages to sound both nostalgically retro and strikingly modern at the same time. They’ve released five more studio albums since then, the most recent of which was 2022’s ‘Teen Troubles’, an impressive back catalogue to draw on when they take the stage at Clockenflap.

2016年,The Black Skirts 以一首暖男 dream pop 神曲〈Everything〉甜死亞洲各地樂迷,連同〈In My City of Seoul〉、〈Who Do You Love〉等代表作一同收錄於第三張大碟《TEAM BABY》,而2019年的《Thirsty》更是繼《201》第二度奪得 KMA 韓國大眾音樂賞最佳現代搖滾專輯獎項。
